Recognizing the importance of economic independence and skill development for women in rural communities, the initiative focuses on providing practical, hands-on training that enables participants to develop sustainable livelihoods. As part of this effort, the Global Brothers Foundation generously donated 20 sewing machines to support the establishment and strengthening of a vocational training center in Taus, Yasin.
The provision of these sewing machines represents a significant step toward equipping local women with valuable technical skills in tailoring and garment production. Through structured training programs at the center, participants are learning essential techniques in cutting, stitching, and designing garments. These skills will allow them to pursue employment opportunities, start home-based tailoring businesses, and contribute to their household incomes.
For many women in the region, access to vocational education is limited. This initiative seeks to bridge that gap by creating a supportive learning environment where women can build confidence, gain practical expertise, and enhance their economic prospects. By empowering women with marketable skills, the program also contributes to the broader goal of strengthening families and promoting sustainable community development.
The Al-Karim Local Support Welfare Organization expressed its sincere gratitude to the Global Brothers Foundation for its generous support and commitment to uplifting underserved communities. The collaboration between the two organizations highlights the power of partnership in addressing social and economic challenges at the grassroots level.
With the vocational training center now equipped and operational, the initiative is expected to positively impact many women in Taus, Yasin. By providing access to tools, training, and opportunity, this program is helping pave the way toward greater financial independence, dignity, and long-term empowerment for women in the community.
